Deleting your data
You can stop Culvara using any of your accounts at any time, and ask us to delete everything we hold about you.
1. Disconnect an account in Culvara
Open Setup (in the account menu, or Connections → Manage connections). Under Posting to your social media, press Disconnect next to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn or X. Under Your Google account, press Disconnect Google; under Leads → Details, Disconnect Gmail. The connection's access tokens are deleted straight away and nothing more is posted or sent there.
2. Remove Culvara in the platform itself
- Facebook and Instagram: in Facebook, go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations (or Apps and websites), find Culvara and choose Remove. In Instagram, go to Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites.
- TikTok: Settings and privacy → Security and permissions → Apps and services permissions → Culvara → Remove access.
- LinkedIn: Settings → Data privacy → Permitted services → Culvara → Remove.
- X: Settings and privacy → Security and account access → Apps and sessions → Connected apps → Culvara → Revoke app permissions.
- Google and YouTube: myaccount.google.com/permissions → Culvara → Remove access.
Removing access there stops the app working with that account even if you don't disconnect it in Culvara first.
3. Delete everything we hold
In the app, straight away. Open the account menu (the round button at the top right):
- Delete this account… (owners): deletes the business account for everyone on its team: its posts, drafts, documents, facts, photo catalogue, designs, opportunities, settings, team and connections. The Google Drive folder and posting sheet Culvara created in your Drive are moved to your Drive bin (Google empties it after 30 days, or you can empty it yourself); nothing else in your Drive is touched.
- Delete my login…: deletes your sign-in and removes you from every team. Any business account you are the only owner of is deleted with it, as above.
You type the account's name (or your email) to confirm. Deleting happens immediately and can't be undone. Posts already handed to a posting tool such as Metricool stay there until you cancel them in that tool. The account's backups are kept in that same Drive folder, so they go to the bin with it.
By email. You can also email hello@culvara.com from the address you use to sign in, with the subject Delete my data, and say which business account it is. We delete it within 30 days and confirm by email.
If someone contacted you through Culvara and you want your details removed, write to the same address with the email or phone number concerned; we'll delete them and make sure you aren't contacted through Culvara again.
